She is also a reviewer for the International Journal of Clinical Nursing and Journal of Nursing Care Quality and has presented at the local, state and national levels on the role of the Clinical Nurse Leader and has conducted research on CNL Role Transition and Role Innovation. She is a coauthor for the newly published Fa Davis textbook “Pathophysiology, Physical Assessment & Pharmacology” which offers a single approach to the 3 P’s and aligns with the new AACN essentials. ![]() Buttriss has published chapters on Advanced Physical Assessment in the CNL Certification Review Textbook editions 1 and 2 and has served as an Item Writer for the Clinical Nurse Leader Certification Exam. In addition to her role as a Nursing Program Director she is a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner for the Newborn Services at Novant Health in Charlotte, NC.ĭr. She is a Past President of the ICNLA, an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing and is the Treasurer for the Charlotte Chapter of the National Association for Neonatal and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP).
